It’s not all that often that Katie requests that I photograph her, so when she’s up for it, I try to make the most of it! This is a technique I’ve wanted to play with for a while, and I was thrilled she was patient enough to let me try it. I really love the effect, and am excited to be able to offer it as an additional session option for my clients who are looking for something really special!

I was lucky enough to be able to create portraits of these three beautiful siblings while I was in Florida a few weeks ago. They were a dream to work with and couldn’t have been sweeter. T, M and K… thank you for a fabulous day at the beach!

Some of you already know this, but for those who don’t, I was lucky enough to be able to go to Florida last week for a workshop called Light Pro Expo. It was an amazing week of learning and experimenting. It was held at the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, which was absolutely gorgeous. The whole island was just breathtaking. We worked with fantastic models of all ages that were brought in to the island especially for us, and I will probably periodically share the images I created throughout the week, but I have to share this one first.

At the end of the workshop, we were given the opportunity to enter an image we created during the week in an image competition. About 45-50 images were entered in the competition, and the top 22 won prizes. I entered this one, titled “Atlas”, and it received 5th place. I was absolutely floored and thrilled!

This little sweetheart is Miss V at three months old. She’s such a happy baby! I am so lucky to get to be a part of this very special first year of her life! I was lucky enough to photograph Miss V’s mommy when she was pregnant with their first baby, big sister Miss I, and have been watching these adorable little girls grow up ever since. I hope Miss V makes you smile as much as she does me!
